I know this can’t be true, but I feel like the only woman on earth completely in love with the only man on earth who will never leave his wife. And I have been for 10 years. He regrets marrying her. We exchanged words for the first time through a friend in a decade just the other day. He is a good, respectable man and wouldn’t break up his family for the sake of his kids, although he loves me very much, and I have put a strain on his marriage for all of these years. It would probably be the worst possible way for him to end his marriage, by leaving her for me. I understand that. It doesn’t make it hurt any less.
